| Our newsletter and web
site are tools to help us communicate with current and prospective members,
and to carry out our purposes. Among these purposes are to: 1. Provide education and resources for UUs, so that we may be well prepared to speak and act in ways that shed a truthful light on this issue, and refute the myths that surround it. 2. Urge participants in state and local groups that oppose the death penalty, and where no local chapters exist, provide help in organizing them. 3. Raise the consciousness of our congregations through workshops, programs, and sermons. 4. Demonstrate how the principles of Unitarian Universalism are affirmed and promoted by our participation in this effort. |
